About Me
A Little Bit About Me
Originally adopted from China, my mom brought me to live in the US when I was one. I grew up in Shelton, Connecticut, and graduated from New Canaan High School in 2020. Throughout high school, I was an active member of my youth group (YG) and held various leadership positions with the younger groups (JYG and MSYG). I was a varsity pole vaulter and a member of the National Honors Society. Coming to age in the middle of a pandemic and an extremely polarized political environment has shaped the way I live my life and how I see the world around me. It has helped grow my commitment to helping others and learning how to respect one another through open conversation.
The Here and Now
I am currently a junior pursuing a B.S. degree in Public Relations in the S.I. Newhouse School of Communications and minoring in Design Studies in the College of Visual and Performing Arts at Syracuse University. I am an honors merit student in the Renée Crown University Honors Program. I am committed to becoming a well-rounded human and am passionate about using communications to connect with others. This past year I've focused on design and making physical products through woodworking and sewing. During these last few years of college, I plan to learn how I can best apply my skill sets in a future career with creativity, passion and fun.
