I'm incredibly excited to represent AXO through social media strategies creating graphics and merchandise for the house. This position allows me to create the overall PR and marketing strategies from Dec. 2021-Dec. 2022. All internal and external communications are responsible in this position, and I can't wait to see what I learn! There is one PR item a semester that I will design, as well as any extras throughout the year for anyone to buy. I am also creating graphics with Procreate, Photoshop and Canva for required Panhellenic posts, philanthropy events and other engagement strategies.
With the social media chair, we developed a social media strategy with three weekly posts: Selfie/Spotlight Sunday's, Why Alpha Chi Wednesday's and Fashion Friday's. I created a new logo and we are focusing the aesthetic towards a natural, fun and fashionable house. This branding is consistent across all social media.
PR ensures clear communication throughout the house and beyond the organization through record-keeping of chapter minutes. I also manage the MCR, the membership information website, keeping it up to date with the new recruiting class and graduating seniors.
There are two parts of organizational planning required: for my position and committee, and organizing the overall sorority calendar. For PR & Marketing, I plan and organize the social media schedule with the social media chair to keep track of posts, required graphics and birthday stories. For the sorority as a whole, I manage the MCR calendar and keep it up to date if there are changes throughout the year.
After a brighter pink logo, I experimented with different classy and trendy logos with thinner fonts.
We decided on this logo for a slight pink and professional feel and matched the highlight photos.
