For this class, we created a social media strategy for our client, Otto the Orange. To do this, we used strategic PR and social media writing, research about Otto's history and branding, as well as problem solving for crisis situations within the social sphere. The goal was to create a social media campaign for the Peel team to use to plan out the social media content surrounding the launch of Otto's new suit. Our final social media strategy includes mock social media (Instagram, Twitter, Tik Tok) posts as well as a hype video made by yours truly that I am extremely proud of. We also gained analytics skills through the beginner and advanced Google Analytics certification, and increased writing skills through the creation of personal blogs.
Instead of all the video clips from his Tik Toks, there is:
- Otto, alone in a dark room, a single spotlight on him
- EXTREMELY professional camera work
In the beginning videos only small clips of the new Otto changes, the final video a full 360 degrees very intense blackout transitions, strobe-esk, with a full reveal of the new Otto
The song isn't a must, but it is extremely important that it's a song of similar energy and beat drops
